Now that we are trying to be kind to our bodies and the planet, there are 'natural' versions of all kinds of beauty products. But it's one thing to try eco-skin care and make-up, and another thing to take the risk of replacing natural deodorants - especially now that we're back in the office with colleagues to consider.

Natural deodorants, made using plant-based ingredients, can be replaced with baking soda, charcoal or aero root (a starch from the roots of tropical plants) instead of aluminum salts, which prevent pores and prevent perspiration. Stop Consumers are concerned about possible links between these salts and health problems such as breast cancer, but the NHS says there is no evidence to support such concerns.

Natural formulas also contain essential oils and plant-based antibacterials, such as tea tree, lavender, peppermint and eucalyptus, to eliminate body odor-causing insects.

A patchy start

One of my favorite peaches came in a soft, mint green packaging with the scent of bellini to start the morning celebration. It runs smoothly but doesn't dry out, although that does mean it's not flaky or powdery, as some aerosols can do.

It made my sweat sweat shine as effectively as my old deodorant, even though it was a bit sticky. 4/5

I was happy with tons of aluminum - better than aerosol cans for the planet.

It felt weird to take out the peppermint scented paste and massage it under your arms. But, with soda bike carbonate to quench the sweat, it contains shea butter and coconut oil, so any leftover product can be used as a hand cream.

There is a white wax on request, but it did not mark my sports top. And I was dry and odor free after my workout. 4/5

Roll-on in a glass bottle, it felt like a more familiar area - except that it claims to be completely natural.

It has a romantic aroma thanks to the essential oils of Rose Geranium and Lemongrass. I knew it was a winner when my husband asked me why I smelled so good and I just wore it. It doesn't stop me from sweating, but it shouldn't. 3.5 / 5

The scent of exercise

This spray dried quickly and left my underarms less brittle than other products. She says it is 100% natural and it was nice not to feel stingy as usual when applying deodorant after shaving.

There was a faint sound after my workout, but I doubt it was because I tried the non-scented version - it also comes in lavender and vanilla. This is a good price, and you can buy a raffle to reduce plastic waste. 3.5 / 5

It shines beautifully and dries quickly because it had a more solid consistency. After my workout, my lower arms were a little sticky, but most importantly, there were no bruises. 3/5

The Crystal Block A 2, which is easy to travel, contains an antibacterial to deal with pests that cause body odor. Just wet the tip with water and apply. I was very wet under my arms after my workout, but not out of control. And I don't mind the slightest glimmer of sweat to keep me cool. 3/5
